Thank you to everyone who has shared their enthusiasm and insight through the congregational survey and first planning meeting. We will have a second congregational survey planning meeting on June 4th at 7pm in the Sanctuary. Your strategic planning committee has made great progress with the feedback received so far and we look forward to continuing to build a mission and vision for the congregation with everyone’s support. All are welcome regardless of whether you completed the survey or participated in the first meeting. We will be brainstorming as a congregation the opportunities and threats that exist on our path forward.

The Shepherd’s Staff. We are currently preparing for our Back-to-School program. Yes, I realize school is not even out yet, but this program is huge. Last year we served nearly 1,800 students. It takes a few months to gather the supplies, pack the backpacks and distribute the items and we can’t do this without your help. Registration June 19 – July 7, 2023, call 410-857-5944 for appointment. Donations are needed, backpacks and school supplies. We keep 100% of the proceeds we raise through ticket sales which will be used for our Back-to-School program, so this is a really big deal for us! For tickets and more information (please call 410-857-5944 ) or visit http://www.shepstaff.org/services/back-to-school/ .
Finally, we are looking for groups to join The Shepherd’s Staff noon meal rotation. Right now your group would be responsible for serving a meal once every 8 weeks. This outreach is very much appreciated by our guests and is a rewarding way to serve the community. Please email me Brenda.Meadows@shepstaff.org or (443.244.0453) for more information.
